Fact: Obesity is a disease

Obesity is not a choice! It is a disease condition caused by various reasons.1 These reasons go beyond just overeating and laziness. Some of the reasons which cause us to gain weight may not even be under our control. They can be our genes and heredity, certain medical conditions like thyroid problems, environment and work stress, lack of sleep, pregnancy and menopause, and psychological problems like depression.2,3 Consult your doctor to find out the reason for your weight gain.
