Myth: I won’t be able to eat anything after surgery

Fact: You can eat almost everything, but in smaller quantities

Most of the bariatric surgery patients are allowed to eat almost everything after a while. The only care they have to take is to eat in smaller quantities and be cautious of not overeating.1,2

Immediately after surgery, you will be on a liquid diet as your system will be recovering. After some time, you will be started on solid food. Your dietician will discuss your diet with you and give you tips to stick to your dietary habits.

Surgery requires commitment to diet and exercise throughout life.
