Myth: I may regain all the lost weight after two years of surgery

Fact: Following the right diet and exercise regime may not allow weight regain

In the first two years after surgery, patients need to follow the diet and exercise plan given by the healthcare team. This, along with surgery, leads to losing a significant amount of weight. Weight loss continues up to two years after surgery and then the weight is maintained at a certain level.

But, after reaching the weight loss goal, some patients stop following the lifestyle changes and go back to old habits. This can lead to weight regain.

If you want to maintain your new slimmer self, then following the healthy lifestyle, with exercise and the smart food habits is very important.1
