Preparing for surgery

How long will I be in the hospital for?

Nowadays, most of the bariatric surgeries are performed laparoscopically. This means that the surgery is done through very small cuts in the abdomen. These small cuts do not take a long time to heal and leave smaller scars. This means the hospital stay is shorter and the patient recovers faster.

Most people stay in the hospital for 2 to 3 days.1
